Before there was a single client, there was Taverna Ambrosios. My family’s restaurant in Berlin-Charlottenburg, by the Spree, at Galvanistraße 12A — the same address LSM Agents is registered at today. In the back room, after the shift, I taught myself to code. This website was my first real build.
Nearly 40 years, one address
Taverna Ambrosios has served authentic Greek food in Charlottenburg for nearly 40 years. Twice recognised by Zitty — “Berlin’s best restaurateurs” in 2013 and “Distinguished” in 2010 — with 4.5 stars across 547 Google reviews. This is no start-up. It is a family business with a history older than I am.
That is exactly why it was the right first build. I could fake nothing: the guests know the room, the family is on the floor every night. The site had to feel as warm and honest as the room itself — not a template stamped onto every restaurant.
What I built
The site runs on Next.js with its own reservation system on Supabase — no embedded third-party widget that ships the guest off to someone else’s platform. Reservations, the menu, events and seasonal specials (Magiritsa and slow-roasted lamb for the Easter week, say) the family maintains itself through a simple, PIN-protected admin.
Anyone who would rather eat at home orders straight through the Wolt integration. Fast, mobile, clean — the same technical foundation I later put to work for paying clients.
A block that holds together
In Charlottenburg everything sits close. The taverna’s recommendations page points to CAVA — the Greek wine house a few streets over that I also built; CAVA points back to the taverna. Two builds, one neighbourhood, the same care.
And the same address as the company that grew out of all of it. Anyone who wants to know where LSM Agents comes from only has to walk down Galvanistraße 12A.
